In spite of what we can think of the protection of our environment has implications that transcend the only environmental vision and allows us to live in full the beauties that our land offers us both on the level of nature and culture and history. One of our main projects is the realization of a real cycle path that will develop on more than 60 km of breathtaking coastal and interior paths with passages deliberately traced near areas of natural and historical interest (coastal stretches of incredible beauty, ancient structures nuragiche). We at the Protected Marine Park love to define this project as “the biggest factory in Sulcis” with clear reference to a new concept of sustainable development that creates jobs and can help us protect the environment.
A cycle path is a protected path or in any case reserved for bicycles, where motorized traffic is excluded. The purpose of these routes is to separate the cycle traffic from the motorized one and the pedestrian one, which have different speeds, to improve road safety and facilitate the sliding of vehicles. Precisely because of the greater safety of cyclists, they also play the role of an instrument for moving mobility shares from the private motorized vehicle to the bicycle, thereby reducing congestion and pollution.
